This sweater is perfect for the weather here; it’s knit so I can feel the nice breeze.

Lace & Chiffon Top: Styles
Leather Pants: H&M
Christian Louboutin Pumps: Gift
Bracelet: Vintage

I’m blogging while eating a delicious cupcake from the pumpkin carving party we went to last night. There were so many beautiful pumpkins and I carved my first one last night! Plus there was a contest and our hipster pumpkin even won us an award…”Most Random!” I’ll take it!
I’m currently thinking of taking up professional pumpkin carving now with my new confidence in my carving skills. Hah!
I wore this because it seemed Halloween-ish and I felt like a vampire in this top. I love the warm colored brown leather pants. They are my new fall go to for leggings! The sides are paneled so they are way comfy and not to mention cute!

My Grandpa and I :)

Tonight I was so blessed to be able to take my Grandpa to a Halloween Party where he lives! There was yummy food, drinks, and fun people. After dinner there was a costume parade and I got to capture my favorite costumes. I posted an instagram of it:

 Too cute!
Now off to date night with my handsome husband!
Enjoy your weekend :)

Chiffon Blouse: Thrifted
Emerald Sweater: Savvy Seconds
Leopard Cuff: Africa
Louis Vuitton Neverfull (It is always full!)
Lace Short: Basic
Flats: Walmart

Hey friends!
It’s beginning to look a lot like fall here in the Bay Area! The weather is still on the warmer side so I thought I’d dress up some lace shorts...or dress down? My inspiration was from all the lace shorts on Pinterest :)
I paired it with flats for a more casual school outfit. Mainly because my brother Joseph told me I looked like a flapper, so I opted out of the heels to maintain a scholarly look rather than a 1920’s flapper look.

Glitter DIY Pumps

My sister Gabriella had a dance this past weekend. She wanted teal accents with her black dress. We were brainstorming ideas and decided to do a fun glittery sole on her pumps to match her date. So she picked out the shoes and I did the restyling! Here is a step by step tutorial :)

Supplies
Modge Podge:High gloss glue. Perfect for glittering shoes
Pumps:Lauren Conrad for Kohls. It doesn't mater what the sole consistency is. These were rubber.
Fine glitter-This can be found anywhere. I got mine at Joanns
Paintbrush-I used one I didn't care about so I could just throw it away after.
Newpaper-Glitter everywhere is not fun to clean up!

I used a paper cup and filled it with about a 1/4 cup of Modge Podge.
Then I poured in glitter to make a glittery first layer.

mixing mixing mixing

I layered on the first layer, I made sure to do an even coat and was careful on the edges. If you're nervous about getting glue on your shoes you can tape off the edges!

Then I poured loose glitter on the still wet first layer.
I used a dry paintbrush to lightly brush the glitter all over the shoe.
When the brush would drag a little I put more glitter on the shoe and continued to spread it to make sure I had even coverage.

 let them dry overnight

The next morning I put on the final layer of Modge Podge.
It will look dull and white, but have no fear it dries clear (a rhyme!)

Done! Beautiful glittery soles :)

This is by far one of the easiest DIY projects I've done EVER! I was very happy with the results and so was my sister. These are perfect for a basic pair of shoes to give them pizzazz, to dress up an outfit, or that something blue for your wedding day :)
The possibilities are endless

If you have any questions email me! Also if you try out this DIY I would LOVE to see your results.
Have fun and don't stress. Any DIY involving glitter is a fun one :)

FAQ'S

Does the sole get slippery?
Nope :) The glitter adds some grit to the bottom that's similar to sandpaper, but doesn't scratch the ground you walk on, just keeps you from falling on your bum!

Does the glitter leave a trail?
The last layer of Modge-Podge keeps the glitter staying put. The bottom that hits the ground does begin to chip off and scuff similar to how pumps normally scuff.

Does it matter what type of sole is on the heel, i.e. rubber, leather, patent?
It doesn't matter what the consistency of the sole is,  the ones pictured above are rubber and actually had a pattern but the glitter completely covers it and fills in any gaps.

Can you glitter the heel and not just the sole?
The awesome thing about Modge-Podge you can glitter anything! It will work with whatever type of shoe, but if you are nervous about it getting on parts you don't want glittered, just tape it off!

Sweater:TJMax
Dress:Forever 21 ($6!)
Wedges:Marshalls

I’m crazy about animal print, so naturally I was drawn to this dress. I love to unleash my inner “guidette” through animal print. Also these have been my favorite wedges since high school! I threw a fit begging my mom to let me get these.
“Mooooooomm! But these are Laundry by Shelli Segal
She said the heels were too high for a high school girl…she was totally right! But I’m still happy I pleaded/cried/begged for them. Thanks momma!

Thanks for all the comments and follows. I feel the LOVE!

 Flannel:Valentina's giveaway pile :)
Coach Leather Belt:Thrifted
Taverniti Jeans:Platos
Flats:Walmart($1!!)
Burberry Purse

The weather has been warm enough lately to wear a t-shirt and shorts but I’m itching to wear my winter threads! My little sister Valentina came downstairs with a big pile of clothes she didn’t want anymore. I saw the flannel and immediately called dibs! One of the many perks of having 5 sisters is that we are all similar sizes, minus Audrianna who still wears onsies, so we can swap/steal each others clothes. Booya!

Enjoy the weekend :)

Tan Blouse:Hospital Thrift    Red Seven for all Mankind Pants:Platos
Clutch:Curio(cute second hand boutique in town)    Sandals:Marshalls

The reason for the gap in posts was because my mom’s birthday was this weekend! My huge family was celebrating all weekend long. I’m so beyond blessed by her!
She is a true Proverbs 31 woman.  I love you Momma!

My last thrift store score! I found this lovely tan blouse at a thrift store in town and it didn’t need to be restyled at all; I just had to cut out the shoulder pads! It was only four dollars too :) I styled it with red pants that I thought complimented the top! I think red pants are so fun for fall. I scored these a few months back. They’re super soft and feel comfy, plus they’re cute! These red Sevens were…..five bucks! Ladies! You dress stylish and don’t need to spend a fortune. My outfit cost me only thirty three dollars!
