Every girl needs a mega feminine dress-this is mine!

Chambray Studded Dress

Free People Dress: Marshalls ($7)
BCBGeneration Wedges: Marshalls
HYPE Bag
Linen Blazer

So I will admit, I’ve held onto this dress for a little too long before I ended up wearing it.
I’ve removed it from my giveaway pile a few times, because there was just something about it that I couldn’t part with. Now that chambray clothing is everywhere, I’m so glad I kept this cute dress! The studding detail was such a perfect finishing touch to an already amazing dress. This dress had a subtle sweetheart neckline, a fitted waist, and my favorite- pockets! Plus, this Free People dress was discounted so low! Only $7!
If you follow Marshalls on any social media outlets you may have heard of #ProjectFAB

Glitter Flats

Knit Top: Plato's Closet
Restyled Thrifted Denim Shorts
Glitter Flats: c/Editorial by Ellie Shoes (can be purchased here)

This is pretty much my go-to summer fit: loose knit tops, cutoff shorts, and the wind in my hair!
I wore this on a recent date with my husband. Bike ride dates are probably my favorite type of date. They're very casual and always involve my favorite indulgence- coffee.
While we're on the subject of indulgences, can you please check out my lovely glittery flats. Swooning over them! Thank you to Editorial by Ellie Shoes for sending them my way! The delicate bows mixed with gold glitter made them the perfect everyday flat.
Also, these shorts were purchased for only $1.99 at a thrift store. They were originally capris, but I thought they were better suited as shorts! All my jeans are in danger of becoming shorts because I just love restyling them!

Scalloped Linen Skirt

Equipement Blouse: Thrifted ($4.99)
Linen Skirt: Plato's Closet ($12)
Wedges: Marshalls
Nine West Sunglasses: Marshalls ($9)
Necklace: c/o INPINK (here)

If you have watched my first thrift haul, you may recognize this blouse. It's the Equipment blouse I scored for only $4.99- which is unheard of, but not by thrift store standards! It's such a great top and one of my favorite thrift store purchases by far.
I’ve received a few requests for work attire, so I put together this outfit that is perfect for everyday events, yet appropriate for work. Each item is very simple, but when paired together, makes a beautiful statement. This silk Equipment blouse contrasted so well with the gold jewelry and white linen skirt; I kept my other items very neutral to keep it workplace appropriate. Depending on where you work, you may need to switch out the open-toed wedges for closed-toed shoes, but I decided these summer wedges were the perfect finishing touch.
Also, how great is this necklace from INPINK?! I’m obsessed with the site and know you budget gals will enjoy it too! INPINK was so kind to offer a discount code for my readers, so you can enjoy these gorgeous baubles too!

The Perfect Leopard Print

Wednesday, July 3, 2013

Peplum Blouse: Target
Current Elliot Jeans: Plato's Closet ($25)
Heels: Target
Necklaces: Target (both for under $15)
Vinatge Chanel

Current Elliott came out with a pair of leopard printed pants last year and it was love at first sight for me. Everything about this pair of jeans was incredible. I was crazy about the light print and skinny silhouette, but I wasn’t crazy about the hefty price tag, I searched for similar pairs, but never satisfied the craving for the real deal. I would often check Ebay or clearance racks hoping to find them- I never had any luck.
UNTIL.
I was out of town and saw a Plato’s Closet, so I decided to go in for a quick look. I immediately caught a glimpse of similar faded leopard denim. I thought it was going to be a similar pair, but not the Current Elliott version. I was wrong! And to make it even better they were my exact size! This find made my day, no, my week! Especially since I only paid $25. I wanted to let the leopard take center stage in this outfit, so I paired it with a black peplum top, strappy heels, and accessorized with some statement jewelry. I layered a spiked necklace underneath a very feminine necklace- I thought it was the perfect juxtaposition between glam and grunge.
