Cushe Boots

Manuka Lite Desert Boots - c/o Cushe Footwear
Jacket - Thrifted/DIY
Neon Knit - H&M
Joe's Jeans - ThredUp ($16)

I love being outdoors and enjoying sunset walks with my husband. The one thing I don't love is trying to find comfortable shoes that are still fashionable. I mean, I could wear running shoes, but I don't like to wear them when I'm not wearing work out clothing. When I found out about Cushe Footwear, I felt like I hit the mother load! They had so many stylish shoes to choose from, my favorite was the pair I ended up picking out- The Manuka Lite Desert. They're super light-weight and constructed beautifully. The sole is thick so I don't feel rocks or anything through the bottom, which tends to be the case with stylish walking shoes. And HELLO, they're seriously so cute! They had a few colors to choose from for this style of shoe; I had such a hard time deciding between the wine and charcoal, but I'm glad I picked the charcoal!  Another fun bonus was the inside is covered in neon flowers.

I decided to play up the colors in the shoe by wearing a neon knit, dark jeans, and a jackets that I embellished with tribal fabric. The jacket is actually a recent DIY, so let me know if you're interested in me posting a tutorial. Stay tuned for a chance to win a pair of these amazing shoes!
They're the perfect comfy shoe for winter adventures.

Thank you so much for reading!

* another important component to sunset walks would be a delicious warm drink.
My drink of choice was a decaf latte. Yum!

Striped Dress

Jacket-Zara
Striped Dress-Plato's Closet ($6)
Jessica Simpson Booties-Marshalls
Oryany Bag-TJMaxx

I celebrated my 24th birthday this past Tuesday and had such an incredible day.
So much has happened in the span of a year and I feel so tremendously blessed.
I reflected on all the things that my 23rd year brought me:

- Another year being married to the love of my life
- A beautiful baby coming in May
- Loosing my sweet Grandpa, but feeling blessed to know he is with his love in heaven
- I started my own business and finally have a career I'm passionate about
- I became involved with Young Life(again!) in my local area and developed so many amazing relationships with the girls I lead

Through this past year my faith has grown so much. I feel so incredibly thankful for my life and everything God has been providing. I'm looking forward to year 24 and everything He has in store for my growing family.

Thank you so much for your constant support and for reading.
I appreciate you all!

White Tunic & Cognac Leather

Monday, November 11, 2013

Tunic: Plato's Closet ($10)
Leather Pants: H&M (last season!)
Sam Edelman Booties: Marshalls
Necklace: DIY

I was looking forward to wearing lots of skirts this season, but I grew so quickly almost all of them don't fit. At least  they don't fit how they're supposed to be worn, so I will have to begin improvising asap. But for now, I'll be sticking to jeans or in this case-leather pants.

I'm already loving the crisp fall weather and leaves in the street. Fall is my favorite time of year!
From holiday decorations and cozy sweaters to family get-togethers and having fires in the fireplace it truly is a beautiful season.
Hope you enjoyed your weekend and holiday.

Chevron Moto Jacket

Wednesday, November 6, 2013

Free People Jacket- c/o Marshalls
AG Blouse-Plato's Closet ($10)
Citizens of Humanity Jeans-Plato's Closet ($20)
Booties- Plato's Closet
Bag-Thrifted

A few months back I spotted this jacket through a boutique's Instagram. I fell for this jacket...hard! I was trying to justify the hefty price tag, but I just could bring my self to spend over $150 on a jacket. I loved everything about it though! I'm already crazy about moto-style jackets, the fit on this one, and the chevron pattern made it so unique. On a recent Marshalls trip, I spotted it's familiar chevron sleeve and grabbed it quickly. It was the only one and happened to be in my size! It was fashion fate and I didn't think twice about taking it home with me.
I wore a very loose chiffon blouse that completely concealed my bump. Crazy! These jeans photographed so badly, they're really an army green with hints of grey in them. It's hard to tell, but you get the idea!

I've been posting little life updates on Instagram lately.

Eyelet Lace Top

Saturday, November 2, 2013

Eyelet Lace Tank: Thrifted ($2.99)
Gap Distressed Jeans: Thrifted ($4.99)
Steve Madden Pumps: Thrifted
Belt:Target
Elliott Lucca Bag: Plato's Closet

I found this tank at a local thrift store and loved the eyelet fabric. A couple months ago, I wouldn't have grabbed this blouse because it's boxy shape would not have flattered my body, but now that I have a cute bump-it's perfect! I belted it with a nude belt, added some distressed skinny jeans, and heels to complete the look.
Also, it's officially the holiday season!! At least by Starbuck's standards.
Once my instagram feed was filling up with red cups, I became so giddy! There's something about those red cups that really make me excited for the holidays.
Enjoy your weekend and maybe even a delicious drink :)
