Free People Bomber, T-shirt & Jeans - c/o Marshalls
BCBG Booties - Thrifted

With the holidays right around the corner, traveling is something we do often. Whether we're flying or driving, one thing I know for sure is that comfort is key.
There are a few must haves for my traveling attire
Layers - Layers are a great way to accessorize your look, but also prepare you for whatever weather you will arrive in. You can either take off a jacket or add a scarf. Simple!
Stretchy Jeans - I've never been a big fan of yoga pants or leggings for my outfits. Not sure why, but I usually gravitate towards jeans- even for long car rides, so jeans with some stretch make that easy.
Soft T-shirts - I mean t-shirts in general are nice, but I love a good worn in shirt. I got this one at Marshalls and it's seriously the perfect slouchy shirt. Another great part about t-shirts is that they can just be thrown in the wash, I don't have to worry about wrinkles or stains from Uriah.
Slip-on Shoes - This is especially handy when flying. I made the mistake of wearing oxfords for my last flight and immediately regretted it when I got to security. Plus, sometimes in long car rides it's nice to slip off your shoes and have on cozy socks.
Sunglasses - Let's be honest, traveling in makeup is no fun. And as much as I love going makeup free, I do have some bags under my eyes that are nice to cover up with some shades.

Those are a few of my favorite traveling essentials.
Right now Marshalls has a killer selection of traveling gear and clothing- perfect timing for your holiday trips. I've partnered with Marshalls to giveaway a $25 gift card to get something cozy for your upcoming adventures.

Kimono & Hat - c/o Marshalls
Jeans & Knit Top - Thrifted
Heels - Ross

Lately the days have been warm, but I'm itching to wear fall layers. This outfit combined the best of both worlds- light layers that I could keep on all day. That's one of the many reasons I love kinomos. Not only are an easy way to add some color and movement to an outfit, but they're so feminine and  provide a little more coverage for cooler days. While I have always loved this trend, I would usually stick to ones that hit mid-thigh, just because I'm pretty short. The longer kimonos were so intimidating, especially the thought of pairing them with jeans. I thought it would totally shrink me! I found this one for only $7 and decided that I would step outside of my comfort zone a bit and try it out. Since it was under $10, it wouldn't be that much of a disappointment if I totally hated the look. After wearing it all day I've decided I'm a new fan of long kimonos!
It's fun to step outside of your comfort zone every once in a while.

Sweater, Crossbody, Mother Jeans, and Jeffrey Campbell Heels - c/o Marshalls
Studded Button-up - Forever 21

This Sunday we spent our day eating through the Ferry Building in the City. We enjoyed yummy Blue Bottle coffees, macaroons, and devoured the biggest baguette in a matter of minutes. It was such a fun day! I mean, who doesn't love eating a ton of carbs then drinking yummy lattes after. We headed down to Giants stadium after, because I was photographing a family portrait session. I was brainstorming good ideas and kept thinking, "man, if only we could get inside the stadium." I don't know how it happened, but the photo stars must have aligned and angels were singing, because we actually got inside the empty stadium and snapped a baseball-lovers dream family portrait.
I'd say it was a good day :)

Now about the outfit!
My entire outfit (sans button-up) is from Marshalls. They get new items every day, so it's like a treasure hunt each time I visit. My last trip I walked out with a huge smile on my face, because I've been searching for a new pair of dark, skinny jeans. These Mother jeans fit like a dream and are so incredibly soft. Which is pretty amazing for a pair of jeans, in my opinion. I usually get home and change right into sweats, but I wore these all day! Plus, they were in the sale section for only $25! I also found these amazing Jeffrey Campbell heels for $29.99. I love all the straps and the smaller heel made it comfortable for all day wear! The shoes remind me of the popular rock studs, but without all the hype :)
